box. Trim with leather cord
and palm inflorescence. Small Dremel or drill with 1/16” bit is helpful and small
piece of wood 18”x3”x1/2”. Using your creativity, each box will look

Descriptions:
Students will use a class mold, cane staves will be inserted into
the base, and weaving will be started to allow most students enough time
to complete the basket in class. Learn to incorporate yarns and fibers into a Nantucket Style
basket creating beautiful tapestry - weave hills and valleys separated by
rows of cane weaving (you may bring your own fibers or yarns if you wish).
Base, glue-on rim, and lid are beautiful cherry wood. |

Basket bottom is woven in such a manner that it’s perfect for
carrying anything. Easy
weaving, twined base. A maple
strip is woven on the side and lasher is Hamburg cane.
